Roads of Iron: Divided Highways follows ordinary Americans whose lives intersect on
the highways that connect the nation. Truck drivers, working families, veterans, and
people from different backgrounds find themselves confronting the growing division they
see around them.

From behind the wheel and across kitchen tables, truck stops, small towns, and cities,
they discover that the people on the other side of an argument may not be as different
as they have been led to believe.
This is a story about disagreement without hatred, patriotism without politics deciding

who belongs, and the possibility that America’s common ground may still be found
among the people traveling its roads.
